A video and sound installation exploring frame rate and Hz upon a rotating digital image.
Digi-trope is a work in progress.
The idea came about whilst researching Zoetropes.
The Zoetrope, originally founded in the early 17th century, is a cylindrical rotating object. It offers the viewer the illusion of movement as they peer through slits on the outer body.
Digi-trope is an exploration of this illusion with modern digital imagery.
A six way speaker system compliments this movement with an array of rotating sounds.
